Nauvoo Senior Portrait Photography {Lars}

Senior portrait sessions are such fun for photographers. Why? Teens have great ideas for props and love artistic poses. We were excited to hear Lars wanted to include his motorcycle in the session, which was awesome….but the leather jacket added “cool” to an already great idea.

This high school senior posed with ease, both with the cycle and without (but I think he enjoyed to cycle photos most!). Voted school homecoming king, Lars was comfortable at looking good in front of a camera.

The early fall weather was perfect for the shoot too. A little crisp. A little colorful. Just the right light. Here are the results……

Nauvoo Wedding Photography {Heather and Travis}

It was the perfect spring day for a temple wedding in Nauvoo. Warm with light wind, just enough shade, and a beautiful blue sky with a few fluffy clouds. We ordered this special day just for Heather and Travis!

Beautiful and handsome couple with sparkling smiles and faces exuding pure happiness, this wedding session was pure delight. Heather’s red rose bouquet (and red heels) along with Travis’s red tie added a bright spot to each image we captured…..but nothing more bright than their faces after being sealed for eternity.

Congrats to these two cuties!

The sparkle in your eyes and light in your face said it all. It was a joy to see you two together, get to meet your families, and capture memories for you two. Thank you for letting us be part of your special day in Nauvoo. Wishing you all the best life has to offer!!

Family Reunion in Historic Nauvoo {Al and Judie}

Nauvoo summers are filled with family get-togethers, some large groups, some small groups but they all seem to have one thing in common……lots of love and laughter. As you can tell by the sweetness in the first image below, Al and Judie’s family was filled with love.

Laughter? Yep. There were plenty of jokes and some silliness during the session…..and we enjoyed every minute of our time with the crew. Check out the fabulous shots below……

We love it when missionaries we have come to know and love return with their families. Getting to meet your kids and grandkids was a treat. They are as awesome as you two are! Glad you have a place in Nauvoo…..and a place in our hearts too.

Amazing Family with Big Hearts

This family has an amazing story because of two people with big hearts full of love. If you know Lynda and John, you know what we mean. They are amazing people raising amazing kids….eleven of them.

Their portrait session was super fun…..filled with shenanigans by the boys (check out the girls’ portrait by the well….2^nd shot!), silliness by the girls, and laughter by all. We were just privileged to photograph a few hours of their reunion in Nauvoo.

Nauvoo Weddings {Tere and Jason}

Predicting Nauvoo’s early spring weather is nearly impossible…..unless there is a temple wedding, then prayers seem to get answered. We watched the reports for weeks before Tere and Jason’s wedding, seeing rain, wind, and cold temperatures were in the forecast but hoping for the best. We got the best!

Morning rain cleared and left everything fresh and clean for an afternoon of outdoor wedding photography. Skies were just overcast enough to create soft light without glare making for some really great images with a picturesque bride and handsome groom. Congrats to Tere and Jason.
