Nauvoo Wedding Photography {Jenny and Joel}

There are two predictable things you see with every bride and groom do throughout their wedding photography session ……have huge, non-stop smiles and intertwined fingers when holding hands. Jenny and Joel? Yep. They followed that prediction.

You could see the love and adoration in their eyes each time they focused on one another. What a joy to photograph! Happy day it was with beautiful weather and just enough cloud cover to provide perfect light.

Want to know one of the coolest facts? We occasionally have a bride or groom in the military….they are both serving our country in the military. Hope you enjoy the photos of this happy duo!

Siblings Family Reunion in Nauvoo

Six siblings brought their families together in Nauvoo for a reunion…..resulting in lots of fun and laughter. We were privileged to do a portrait session during their visit.

So, how did it go? This spirited group entertained one another between family group shots with bubbles, photo bombing, and a little dancing in the street. Non-stop jokes, some silliness, and a little monkey business kept the kids from getting bored.

Kids were able to catch a little street dancing with the YPM’s (Young Performing Missionaries) when the Nauvoo Brass Band arrived. Of course, we had to catch a few candids to add to their collection of reunion memories.

Here’s the crew and some really fun shots!!

Summer Family Reunion in Nauvoo

When Richard and Pam’s family gathered in Nauvoo for their reunion, getting a large group portrait was on the agenda. We found a couple of special spots with fabulous backdrops to capture all 28 smiling faces.

They perched, knelt, and sat……and provided endless smiles as we snapped away. Older cousins held little ones, persuading them to smile at the right time. Siblings helped each other perch, without sliding off, fence boards (and they aren’t flat!). Friends sat next to one another for their memory making photos.

Short but sweet, we loved this session!

Nauvoo Family Reunion Portraits

Sweet parents. Fun-loving kids. Cute grandkids. That is what we encountered when we photographed David and Connie’s Nauvoo family reunion. Why Nauvoo? It’s a great central meeting point when kids are scattered across the country plus there’s plenty to do for all ages.

The youngest sibling, Susan, kept the group organized with an itinerary, on-time for their session, and ready to smile away when we arrived camera ready. The photogenic group made our job a pleasure.

Here are a few of our favs but our favorite shot? The grandkids lined up for the traditional pose in birth order, youngest to oldest ……then the jump shot afterward. Awesome! Love the expressions on the little ones faces.

Nauvoo Wedding Photography {Hannah and Tyler}

Sweetness, smiles, and a little bit of silliness……that’s what made this Nauvoo Temple wedding session a little different from the others. Hannah and Tyler were all three combined and we caught the images on camera for their lifelong memories.

For sweetness. Soft lavender and white roses created sweetness for a summer wedding….but even sweeter? Check out the youngest sibling seated at the feet of the bride. One of our favorite shots.

About the smiles. Try to get a serious look on the face of this beautiful bride and groom during the happiest of all days but no, the smiles couldn’t be removed.

Some silliness. Donning bright red sunglasses and posing for a few shots added just the right amount of quirkiness and personality we were wanting. Take a look….
