The Historic Nauvoo landscape, just before winter begins, can be stark and somewhat somber after fall leaves have dropped and color has faded. But when you add a colorful family group (who braves chilled air and cool winds) to gather for a reunion portrait, life returns to Nauvoo for a short while.
Tammie and her children, along with adorable grandchildren came together to celebrate Thanksgiving. Dressed in deep cranberry, blues, and a spot of gold, their outfits painted the landscape one last time before winter white carpeted the ground.
The littles were adorable with personality to boot. The parents were loving and patient as we moved from place to place, hugging each child and wrapping in blankets or warming inside the car when needed.
Can you get great portraits in cold weather? Yes you can. See what we captured this crisp fall day…..
To Tammie,
What troupers the kids were during a cold portrait session and such beautiful families too! Thank you for letting us spend time capturing images of your children and sweet grandchildren. May your future be bright and filled with much happiness.
Hope to see you in Nauvoo again!
